Sharifa Adde has proudly called Clarkston home for over a decade. Born and raised in Somalia, she brings a rich multicultural perspective shaped by her experiences living in Russia and Kenya before moving to the United States. Sharifa is fluent in six languages in addition to English, a skill that underscores her ability to connect with Clarkston's diverse community.

A retired social worker, Sharifa has devoted her life to serving others, guided by a deep belief in the power of local government to create meaningful change. She is an active member of the Clarkston Senior Connection and serves as a board member of the Amani Women Center, where she continues her work to empower and uplift the community.

As a City Council member, Sharifa is passionate about building bridges, fostering inclusivity, and advocating for policies that meet the diverse needs and aspirations of all Clarkston residents. Her leadership is rooted in collaboration and a steadfast commitment to making Clarkston a place where possibilities grow.
