Clarkston Police Department Welcomes New Assistant Police Chief Xavier Todd
(CLARKSTON, Ga. – July 22, 2024) – The Clarkston Police Department is excited to announce that the city has appointed Xavier E. Todd, Sr., as the new Assistant Police Chief, marking a significant step in enhancing public safety and policing in Clarkston.
Xavier Todd, an Atlanta native, brings 25 years of diverse law enforcement experience. His career began in 1997 with the Morris Brown Police Department, followed by roles at the East Point Police Department, where he served as a patrol officer, Field Training Officer, and Detective Sergeant. His leadership continued in the City of Lithonia as Captain and Interim Chief of Police and, more recently, in the City of Morrow Police Department, where he earned accolades for his investigative work and humanitarian efforts.
Police Chief Christine Hudson expressed her enthusiasm for the new appointment. "I am thrilled to announce the addition of Assistant Chief Xavier Todd to the Clarkston Police Department," she stated. "He is a seasoned leader with a wealth of experience, possessing all the qualities needed to mentor our officers. I am confident he will be a tremendous asset to our department."
Assistant Chief Todd shared his excitement about joining the team. "I am honored to join the Clarkston Police Department and work alongside Chief Hudson."
