Times: 8:30am to 4:30pm (Lunchbreak: 12:00pm - 1:00pm)
Notice is hereby given that, in accordance with O.C.G.A. § 21-2-540, a special election shall be held in Dekalb County to fill the vacancy in the office of the City Council, caused by the resignation of the Honorable Awet Eyasu. The special election will be held on November 5, 2024.
Qualifying for the special election shall be held at Clarkston City Hall Annex, 1055 Rowland Street, beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, July 22, 2024, and ending at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, July 26, 2024. The qualifying fee shall be $360.00.
All persons who are not registered to vote and who desire to register to vote in the special election may register to vote through the close of business on October 7, 2024. Early voting will be held October 15, 2024, to November 1, 2024. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.
Should a runoff election be required, such runoff will be held on December 3, 2024.
