CLARKSTON, GA – May 26, 2026 — The City of Clarkston is pleased to announce its selection by the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) as a recipient of planning and technical support through the agency’s 2026 Community Development Assistance Program (CDAP).
As one of five metro Atlanta projects selected through a competitive regional process, the City of Clarkston will receive staff support to conduct a comprehensive Housing Assessment focused on understanding housing affordability, displacement risks, and housing conditions throughout the city.
The study will take a community-centered approach by engaging renters, homeowners, refugees, immigrant households, and other residents to ensure that future housing strategies reflect both technical data and lived experiences.
This partnership with ARC provides an important opportunity to better understand the housing challenges facing our community and create informed strategies that preserve the character and inclusiveness that make Clarkston unique.
