CITY OF CLARKSTON TO HOST U-8 REGIONAL TENNIS TOURNAMENT AT MILAM PARK

Clarkston, GA – October 31ST, 2012, The City of Clarkston will host a Regional U-8 Regional Tennis Tournament on Saturday, November 3rd, 2012 from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm. The tournament, sponsored by the United States Tennis Association Georgia Junior Tennis Program will bring nine teams to the beautiful Milam Park facility coming from Columbus, Athens, Duluth, Newnan, Atlanta, Sandy Springs and, Clarkston.  “We are very excited about hosting this event and we hope that the  players will have a great time on and off the court as they travel together and play together with their teams!, states Mary Dillon, Managing Director of Jr. Team Tennis, USTA Georgia.

The City of Clarkston recently completed a comprehensive renovation of Milam Park including a new swimming pool and tennis courts, modern playground equipment, refurbished restrooms, renovated multi-purpose recreation areas for soccer and baseball, new parking surfaces, refurbished pavilions with new grills and a new ADA compliant ramp and sidewalk that provides full accessibility to the entire park.
