City leaders, nonprofit representatives, and community members gathered at the ceremony to celebrate the work of these organizations, which provide essential services ranging from refugee support and early childhood education to workforce development and veteran assistance.

“The Clarkston C.A.R.E.S. Grant is an investment in the future of our community,” said Mayor Beverly H. Burks. “These organizations are doing transformative work, and through this grant, we are empowering them to expand their impact and continue their mission to serve those who need it most. As we look ahead, this grant program will help lay the foundation for a stronger, more resilient Clarkston, where every resident has the opportunity to thrive and contribute to the growth of our city.”

The Clarkston C.A.R.E.S. Grant was established to fund initiatives addressing key community needs such as education, healthcare access, housing stability, and economic empowerment. By supporting these programs, the city is strengthening its foundation for a more resilient and thriving Clarkston.

The next grant cycle will open in the fall, providing funding for five additional nonprofits dedicated to serving Clarkston residents.
